Concorso Italiano in Monterey, California was held this past Friday August 19, 2011. It was a great day - here are some photos.
I took three cars to this event - above are the Bizzarrini and the Iso Grifo.
Looking out the front of the Iso Grifo as we drive onto the field early in the morning.
A beautiful Iso Lele, the only one at this event.
A perfect Bizzarrini GT 5300, winner of its class at Pebble Beach in 1998. It could still win today.
The silver Bizzarrini GT 5300, also a winner.
De Tomaso Vallelunga.
De Tomaso Mangusta.
My Iso Rivolta GT and other cars of interest.
One of the best Intermeccanica Italias that I have seen.
Lamborghini Miura - they look better with everything closed.
Fiat Abarth, they are cute.
The Iso Bizzarrini field above and below.
The drivers view in the Bizzarrini on the way to the stage. That is an Iso Rivolta GT up ahead.
Waiting to drive across the stage.
On the stage - Iso Rivolta GT.
On the stage - Bizzarrini GT 5300.
Some of these photos are by Rebecca Fuller.
I was so busy with three cars that I did not have time to walk around and see much of the show. So, there were many great cars that I was not able to photograph.
Piero Rivolta on the right and Dr. Paul Turek on the left standing next to his Iso Rivolta GT. Photo compliments of Dr. Turek.
