The 1970 Porsche 911S once owned by Steve McQueen and driven by him in the movie Le Mans sold at RM Auctions last night in Monterey for $1,250,000.
This is near the top of the estimate range and it must be a record price for a 911.
The Hagerty Price Guide list this car at a value of $72,000 for a condition 1 car - that is quite a mark up for the Steve McQueen Factor.
I mentioned this car here and here. It will be interesting to see what the former McQueen Siata sells for, also at RM.
