In addition to being a rare Iso Grifo this car is special for two other reasons.
One: it is right hand drive, there were only 26 series one right hand drive Grifos made.
Two: "The car presented here is chassis # 660081/D. Built in 1966, 081/D was originally owned by Mike Hailwood who was the reigning 250cc Motorcycle World Champion at the time and is believed he initially used the car in South Africa, before bringing the Iso to the UK in 1970.", according to the seller.
It is thought that this car has been sold to someone in Australia.
This car was listed with Car and Classic in the United Kingdom.

I bought a Iso Griffo the same color years ago for my wife to keep her away from my other cars. It was a excellent driver and never a problem. I still have my Speedster but heard she sold the iso. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I have a red Grifo and I love it. I will be driving it to Monterey in 3 weeks.
