Big Smooth Curves - Pre-War Mostly

by Mike -

Cars designed before the mid-1950s tended to have big, smooth and curvy body designs.

1939 Delahaye Type 165.

1941 Graham Hollywood.

1938 Talbot-Lago TI 50-C-SS.

This is a custom that looks like a Mercury with the most unusual top I have seen.

The pointed boat tail of this wooden 1926 Ford Model T Speedster seems to be an exception.

1914 ALFA 40-60 with an experimental body.

The Tatra and Stout Scarab are smooth and curvy too.

Several of the photos above were taken at the Pacific Coast Dream Machines show on May 1, 2011 in Half Moon Bay, California.
