This is a great looking little car, a 1953 Fiat Stanguellini Berlinetta. I have never seen one of these before - probably because, I believe, this is the only one.
Designed by Franco Scaglione of Bertone it is a one-off prototype constructed on a Fiat chassis and powered by a Stanguellini 1100 cc engine.
The Stanguellini Company has been around for a long time and in the 1950s and 1960s they built fast little sports cars based on Fiats.
Briggs Cunningham bought this car for his wife after the New York Auto Show in 1953. What a great guy, I suspect that she loved it.
A very cool hatch back!
